At night, the view of the night sky and stars is amazing. From the bedroom cabin, french doors open up connecting you to the natural surroundings. At the heart of all the cabins is a landscaped courtyard and covered pergola, complete with an authentic pizza oven and hammock, providing the ultimate outdoor living experience.

The tiny kitchen provides all the essentials including a fridge, gas hobs, and cooking equipment. Cosy up inside with a good book or a board game on those cooler nights.

The cabins are fully fenced to ensure little people stay safe and within sight.

Your hosts created this stunning site for your absolute enjoyment and we know you will relish in its setting and style. Built from recycled native timbers, sustainable and up-cycled materials, echoing early colonial styles, the cabins strive to be eco-leaning, and are beautifully styled, with every detail thought through. Arohanui means ‘much love’ which is symbolic of the story and family that led to its creation and for the memories we hope it will bring for all those who enjoy a stay at our glampsite.

From the road, there is a rough gravel driveway that will take you down to a farm shed. If your car is 4WD you can drive down to the cabins, following the track. Otherwise, it is an easy 2 minute walk down. It is safe to leave your car parked at the farm shed.

You are provided use of a Polaris Ranger ATV during your stay which will get you and your luggage down to the cabins. The Ranger has seat belts and seats up to 6 people.

The cabins are uniquely designed and, as an off-grid set up, contain aspects different to a standard bach or urban property. You will be provided a guest guide ahead of your arrival to help you make the most of your stay in this unique property.

Key tip: You will have mains power to operate your devices, but there is limited supply.
