We acknowledged the demand for an affordable and well-built Tiny House.
Our family’s interest in Tiny Houses grew significantly around five years ago when we embarked on researching and developing our initial production prototype – Taha Tiny Homes, Tiny House Maxx. Keeping our own family in mind, we understood the importance of creating an affordable and mobile Tiny House to assist young New Zealanders in stepping onto the property ladder. We also considered its versatility for other situations, such as generating additional income through renting, residing on-site during construction, or serving as a holiday home.
Following 18 months of dedicated work in our purpose-built factory located on our rural lifestyle block in West Auckland, we successfully completed the construction of our Taha Tiny Home Maxx.
With Bryan’s extensive 38 years of experience in the building and construction industry, both domestically and internationally, and his original training as a skilled Carpenter Joiner, we are confident that we have crafted a dwelling that harmonizes seamlessly with urban or rural environments. Our Tiny Home showcases upscale interior finishes and provides a remarkable sense of spaciousness within a compact footprint. We designed our Tiny Home from scratch, employing cutting-edge materials technology and intelligent innovative design principles. The result is 32 m2 of living space spread across two levels, capable of being relocated anytime, on any road across New Zealand, and easily towed by a standard domestic vehicle with a regular driver’s license.
The Taha Tiny Home Maxx is fully self-contained, featuring water and wastewater tank storage, complete insulation, and sustainably sourced materials with a strong focus on energy efficiency.
Currently, we are in the design phase of a new single-level Tiny House tailored specifically for older and/or disabled individuals who prefer to avoid stairs. We aim to complete this prototype by the end of the year, further expanding our remarkable lineup of Taha Tiny Homes.
